How did Rasputin die?
Grigori Rasputin was the famous "Mad Monk" who influenced the last Imperial Russian royal family up until the first world war.
He allegedly had a spiritual conversion in his 20's which made him abandon his family and begin a religious quest, which led him to become a privileged insider in the highest family of the time - something the rest of the country greatly despised.
The story is a group of people including some from the Royal family itself, banded together and attempted to assassinate him, but he did not die and in fact the legend of him having supernatural powers because of this arose.
He was supposedly poisoned with 3 large glasses laden with cyanide, any one of which would kill a man, beaten, shot 3 times and drowned, but still managed to live. It turns out this just isn't true now, and he did in fact die of gunshot wounds with his autopsy showing no poison or water in his lungs.
Healer
He first gained favor with the Russian Royal family by curing one of their children of hemophilia. It's thought nowadays this happened because he stopped giving aspirin, which is now known to have just been making it worse.
